Everyone likes the new *s-word. Till it breaks. I’ll stick with my carb saws. Is the new 592 awesome. That it is. Will it last and be as easy to fix as the 288. Never ever.
I’m a 394/395 fan myself. The 288 is a well made rig for sure

There aren’t any actual men left…
Nope the majority has man buns and want all plastic saws,so they don't hurt their fragile little backs and build any muscle.too much muscle and they squish their cup of latte.

Some have a business to run and money to make and don't have time to play chainsaws either.

I remember thinking 288's were cool because everyone said they were awesome....then I ran a couple of them.
First one I ran was one I built from parts BGD. Grunty, not fast. 36” skip felling no prob. Loved it. Ran a stock 281. Big meh. Stock 288 meh. BGD again. Likey. One @Crocky28 ported seems pretty good, just gotta fix the plug threads.
