272 oil pump replacement

Anyone recommend a brand besides oem for an oil pump on a 272. A friend of mine purchased an “oil pump kit” off of Amazon and the pump is so stiff it strips out the worm gear. Is the HL supply stuff worth the money, or anyone on eBay selling stuff worth $$.

I have new oem seals, the pumps are oem too but they are used

I’ll run it past the owner. I have no problem putting in good used oem over cheap Chineese, but I’m not sure how he’ll take it. You got a price on the pump and seal.

Sounds like the saw owner was trying to stop a leak which wasn’t coming from the oil pump. I’ll just get a seal from the dealership but thanks anyways.
