WANTED 262

looking for nice oem piston and cylinder for a 262. My saw is a really nice 261 but want to do the swap on it.

cylinder is same, all you gotta do is throw a flat top piston in a 261 and swap to the 3 puck clutch and you have a 262! ...oh, and sometimes open the muffler too I think

The 2 shoe clutch will work fine with the 262 piston installed. also the 261 metal side cover is a bonus along with the 261 having an outer felling dawg. Def open up the muffler as Mattyo said. I also delete base gasket and run a drink can gasket using 4bond. That usually gets squish where it needs to be.

Ok guys. Thanks. Still need the p-c though. Straight gas works wonders on them and not for the better. Got it that way.

i would take that cylinder off and see how bad it is. more often than not they can be cleaned up and made usable.

Meteor makes a nice piston for this saw at ~$40. I comes with a Caber ring too.

Kinda gotten side tracked for a while guys Sorry bout that. The 262 is kinda on the back burner for awhile. Had a little dough but life came up took it all. Will get back to it when the pilsbury dough boy comes back around and leaves me a little bit.

If its ok with @drf255 I can donate you a piston from a 262. I was gonna send it too him. Used piston. Just throw some new rings on it and go ripping.
