HTF do I reset this spring in order to pin the linkage and reattach the flag?

What's your point? We all know you hate the 262. o_O

Point is I raced that one. I know the 262 saws too, stock to ported. Not what you think they are IMO.

Sorry those saws are for selling to the cult like followers like yourself. Just want to say thanks for buying them. ;)

I always meant to go back in Randy's 262 day thread & see what the difference was for the poulan. Was it like 2 minutes slower per cut or 2 seconds?

I usually take the cover off, pop the spring out, install the linkage pin, pop the spring back in, put the cover back on, and install the brake flag.
Hmmm,I just was told how to build and use a tool to reset it together.
Btw did that jug work for you?

Those brake springs is always a pain in the ass. I'm sure there's a trick to it, but I don't know it.

I dang near got it with a Metabo wrench. I got to make a tool about an eighth smaller between the pins.

Would be nice to see an aftermarket side cover with side chain tensioner for these saws. Anyone modded that into 1 of the aluminum side covers? Kicking around picking up another saw, might keep, might sell.

A STS competitor raced it in sweet-gum in 4ci class at Alabama event and got 2nd with it.

Adam on CRS did alot of the machine work etc on it. I just bought it as a runner. It really liked 30% nitro but I ran %15.
