262 XP muffler alternatives ????

Are there any mufflers from other Husqvarna saws that will work on a 261/262 ?

257 for sure, I think one from a 254 or a 50/51/55 can probably be made to work fairly easily.

This is the answer I was seeking,I knew the 257 would work but was wondering if any other model would work as an alternate.

I can try my 254 muffler on my 262 tomorrow when I get home from work. It is smaller but may work

I think the exhaust mount hole spacing is different between the 254 and 257/261/262 jugs.
