Echo 2511T dealer demo. I thought I should have two, but don’t need them both. Dealer mechanic drilled muffler while off the saw and cleaned it before reinstalling. I watched him do it. Currently 12” bar with 3/8lp 050.
$350 shipped. I’ll even throw in a 1/4” drum sprocket.

Why is it the best?
I'm considering something smaller than my 200T for a 10" bar saw. This or a 150T seems about right.
They are worth it for the adjustable oiler alone. No adjustable oiler on the 150 is no bueno in my book.

The 151t is on shelves here now. I think people still roughly the same price as the Echo too. I've been thinking about the 2511, but in Shindaiwa colors.

I wondered if a hole right there would melt the plastic but doesn’t look like it. I got mine when they first came out and I looked at the muffler and just put it back on. I was waiting for pics of different options without splitting the muffler open.

Works well there as the original port blows down across there. It was really the only option when I did the first for a customer, then my own.

The insides....... All the exhaust gets pushed 90* then through the honeycomb and 90* back over to the outlet.43FD57D1-5A8D-41C7-A795-1A4459131F37.jpeg
Added a little down pipe deflector after opening the port to keep it from blowing on the plastic.19D15A62-466A-461F-AE81-D5955B9ACB95.jpeg

The way I mod the muffler on these is to take a bur and hog out the area circled in the center divider. Circled in red:

Exhaust exits the exhaust port, hits the front of the muffler and travels out of the stock port. Completely bypasses the cat. I make the hole roughly the same size as the exhaust flange on the muffler. This allows the spark screen to be retained for national parks work.

This is a good deal on a great saw. If I wasn't considering moving to a battery saw soon it would be nla.;)

I keep coming back to the same idea. I need a new impact driver, keep thinking about the Makita and then the matching top handle from them. That and I put an offer on another Arctic saw from out West today, need to wait and see how that goes...

I haven’t had the chance yet, why I am so decided.

I do but I have to tap out, bought a different one today.
I’ve run a couple models and I guess it’s all about what you need to use it for. To me the extra weight of the battery saw vs it’s performance was not real appealing.

As far as picking up something different today......:beer-toast1:
