I seem to recall seeing someone mention Stihl makes a 22 inch bar but I can't find it online or in my paper catalog, although my catalog is 2018 vintage. I did find a Tsumura 22 inch bar. I have a Stihl ms362 that is ported and seems uber strong to me. I have 20 inch bar on it. Would prefer to have a little longer. Stihl says a 362 can take up to a 25 inch bar, so, I take that to mean that the oiler should keep up with up to a 25 inch bar? But... I could live with 22 inch or 23 inch bar. I know they also make 24 inch bars. What do you think and if you know of a source for 22-23 inch bar, let me know. I was thinking it would be a good compromise... even 22 inch might be enough over a 20 inch for felling/bucking the big trees I occasionally come across. Others have mentioned on this forum that 25 inch might be too long, which I don't understand, but that's what they say. Again... it's a ported, bad boy 362. I am open to most any brand. TIA!

Having an odd ball bar is not always the greatest. If you spin your own chains it’s alright, but forget ordering something online. I had that problem with a goofy 38”GB bar for a big Husky. It took an odd drive link count.

Maybe the 22-23” you saw was for a 3002 mount saw?

The 48" usable on the saw in my avatar is 143 drivers of .404 .You won't find one of those at TSC or Lowes .
