2100 resto

I have a bunch of pics so bear with me as I get them up. Im just about done with this saw, just waiting on acouple bits. The idea of restoring this popped in my noodle when I stumbled across an nos top cover and its been downhill from there. Ive been collecting parts and have made numerous other contacts along the way.

Ive built another out of this pile so far and have enough for one more after this restoration project is done.
These are the parts I had Mr Mike powder for me. I sent along the top cover for him to color match.

Nos gasket kit.
Prepping case for assembly.

Crank in one side.
Some 518 and gasket.
And bolted together.

Next up is the tank.
Line and filter in.
Oiler parts.
I used a bit of grease to keep the o-ring in place for assembly.

Trigger assembly. And manual oiler in.

Av buffers in.
Ready for seals.

Thats no good.
Oil pump in.
.404 rim and clutch on.
And together.

Mike did a great job with the powder.
Took me awhile to find a good undamaged cylinder and thin ring piston. I had the cylinder and flywheel glass beaded.

I like the shape of the intakes on these.
Nos .404 bar I picked up.

Bolted tight.
This pic you can see where the fuel governor is on some of these carbs. See the brass plug? Im using a non governed carb which I was running on another 2100 so I know its a good one.

With the intake.
I had to remove the powder for the stop switch for chassis ground.

I fitted a known good ignition from my other runner.

And thats where Im at now. I would like to find an nos set of fuel and oil caps with the metal tangs. Im also needing 90dl of .404. Was hoping to find some old Oregon cl or some similar to what would have been available at that time.
