saw runs hot. Press, vac etc check. Intake ported only. Muffler has tip. No timing advance. Any thought? I didn't do porting

Think I found the problem impulse nipple was 1/2 gummed up with metaled fuel line. Also any though in port work let me know

Spark plug color will give an indication to how it is running. If lean as suspected, look into fuel supply and carburetor issues. Sometimes multiple things can compound themselves into one problem. Check metering diaphragm for stiffness. Inlet screen for debris, fuel filter for dirt, fuel and impulse lines for any leaks, fuel passage ways clogged and so on.
