No that 044 does not have slant fin cylinder.

This question has many answers and like any saw question it depends on what you are looking for. If you are looking new only Husky, J-Red and Makita are available with heat in the states. If you are a Stihl head then let me know what size you want and I'll get you a price.

Used probably the best place to start would be @Mastermind with his 460. There is an 026 Arctic near me for sale but that one would hit your door around $400USD.

Heated handles are so delightful. I used my 261 that I got from Gary yesterday and it was just a perfect combo with my soaking wet gloves and the thermometer at 35F.
