WANTED 044 tank, top cover, filter cover

Looking to buy or trade for an 044 tank and top cover as well as filter cover. They don't need to be beauty's just prefer not busted up anymore than what I've got.

Do you want the newer style top cover with the plastic tag or the older style with the riveted metal tag?

I'm not picky JJ, I'll take whichever you can spare. It's an older 044 but if the newer style fits that's fine or vice versa. Let me know how much and I'll PayPal it to ya.

That's a ms440 tank that takes a flippy cap, not a 044 screw cap style. It's been a eBay for a few months off and on. Look at the 2nd picture, it takes a flippy cap.

If it was a real screw cap 044 tank, I am sure it would have been sold back when it was 1st listed.

Yes after looking at the other pics you are correct ... Open mouth insert foot .. very over priced ... For a flip cap tank

I believe they switched in 2000/2001. That was around the time when all the saws went to the "MS" designation. You can swap the tanks out if need be.

I may have a decent used screw cap tank for you as well but I need to check on that. I definitely have a top cover/air filter cover set.

Like i said they are hard to come by good luck and that one ebay add thats way overpriced is new styletank like maulhead pointed out look at the vent that syle vent wasnt on the old style tank

To take my 4r0 tank off my 044 10 mm saw i was lucky enough to buy a parts saw for tank i paid 225 for the saw cylinder was bad crank was bad one side of case had white death but i bought it for tank and had another case half to build another one then bought a second old school tank for 150 bucks they hold value everyone wants em good luck
