The subject saw has arrived at my bench. Owner discovered it had no spark. He replaced the condenser and said it still won't run. So that's how I received it. Gave it a spin and it does have spark, but not sure how strong a spark it has. Is there a good way to test the condition of a condenser?
Thanks

Check the points, clean them up.
Try a wima 0,22uf condensor.

Yes I may have to try a new one! Points have already been burnished with no effect. Just wish I could test this coil and test the new condenser to see if either is faulty! I have a VOM I could use to test the resistance on the coil. I may hit that condenser with it while set for resistance to see if it falls off like other capacitors do. Just not sure how to quantify that test. I suppose if it doesn't take a charge that would prove a fault. But I'm not sure otherwise.
