I have obtained the 034 super, the 044, and a nice 266, so these are the next two stops on my saw aquisition journey.

I would hold out for a very clean example of either of these, but let me know what you have! I would consider trading towards either of these also.

You can get Brazil 288s brand new, also MS 381/382, which is basically an 038.

Dang, that really over priced, even with the 3-port muffler.

This person usually has higher prices, but they sell. My guess is they do good work, as I've seen them selling for years. Again, I have no idea who the seller is. Boonville is way the hell off the beaten path, and I live on the edge of the middle of nowhere, as it is, so that's saying something.

i got this as just the crankcase and fuel tank and misc bits. looked to be extremely low use, but case had sat open and crank bearings were crunchy so i split and replaced bearings, seals, gaskets. its been a year or so, i THINK i used oem seals but i honestly cant remember. good quality main bearings and oem gaskets.
new oem carb
new oem 54mm top end
new oem chain brake assembly
mattyo top cover
hls filter
starter is ratty, muffler is ratty, aside from those two items its mostly a near new saw. i ran two tanks through it last...

Well I grabbed @how57's 038 magnum with aftermarket short block. I think I will try to find an oem shortblock for it. Anyone have an oem 038 magnum case/crank/cylinder hanging around?

As for the 288, I might have a line on a project one. We'll see...
