Morning guys,

New on here, been using another site that shall not be named..... :p

I am after any info from anyone about a similar piston to a 52mm 038 mag, one that is slightly higher from the wrist pin to the top of the piston. (for a pop up piston)

I have an 038 mag, muffler modded and base deleted that I do not use for a work saw and want to play with.

This saw runs well but next to my 372xp it is fast becoming a shelf queen.

I want it to be an even bigger torque monster than it is :risas3:

I realistically want the 372xp to be a 20" and the slow torquey 038 mag to have a bit more low and slow grunt for the big stuff.

I had good luck a while back modifying a ms241 piston to fit a ms231 since the latter ms231 had a bore size change and the pistons here in the UK were a sod to find..

How fast do you want it to run? I have an 038 mag that 4 cycles at 14,600 . Raised dome stock piston .23 thou deck clearance 96 after ex port opening .Has enough grunt to pull a 32" in oak at about the same rate as a stock 660 with a 36"bar .
