The plastic fuel inlet is leaking. Just wondering if anyone has a part number for the inlet thing and is it just the plastic part or does the incert have to be pulled out and replaced as well?
Thanks

ya gotta yank the old nipple and replace it, the plastic isn't still available and the plastic that remains is brittle and falls apart even after a really nice JB Weld repair

I’ve got a bunch of those elusive HK43B carbs. Never found them to really be so much better than a Zama. Just an FYI if the repair become more expensive than a different carb.

Strongest 036 I have ever built sports a $20 eBay Zama and is still running with it for over 4 years.

New oem is 120 plus tax. I think i seen a the china carbs are about 20 and up.
I think i have enough stuff layin around to give this a try but i think i will still order a knock off off one. I hate extra conection like that. More areas for an air leak.

The older knockoff’s were actually seconds off the same Zama assemble line as the oem ones. They even had “Zama” and the “C3” designation cast into them.

Beware, you’ll get a carb with the compensating metering plate, and your Tilly plate won’t fit it. You’ll have to cut the horn off flush, add some JB, then drill a vent hole.

Just remembered where I got these ends from to make one in black plastic. Automotive intakes have these vacuum sensors on them and so does the Evap systems to recycle gasoline fumes. I would cut off the top part with the ninety degree nipple and drill it to out fit these carbs.
Dave is right on the old saws it turns to dust sometimes when you touch it. The black plastic works good gooed back on the factory carb fitting.

The brass elbows from junk carbs fit good on some I ran across. I've seen a lot of cracked white plastic fitting not many black ones.

Come to think of it, I’ve never seen an HK carb with a plastic elbow. All of mine have a metal barbed elbow that’s got a smaller OD than any of the Zama carbs. All of mine have needed a fresh fuel line when swapped in, because the old lines were stretched out from the Zama brass elbow inlets.

Wonder if that was already played with.
