Not a problem at all mang. Its only missing one of the screws that holds the brake flag on. The brake works as it should. I did some minor timing adjustments. No base or band cut. Just a gasket delete which only brought the squish down to .031”-.032” somewhere in that range.. I dont remember off the top of my head. I will check again tomorrow.Hey Zuki, Couple questions for you.
42 or 44mm??
What all is missing on the brake linkage?
Port grinding, base grinding, or both?
All annulars good shape??
Sorry for the questions but love these old saws and wanted to get specific. Thx. timg
With the gasket installed I got 110* on the exhaust, 127* for the upper transfers and 69* for the intake.Did you get stock timing numbers off it?
Makes perfect sense, I recently ran a friend's stock 028wb and was surprised at the torque. It felt like it was close to where a 028 super was that I ported, but the 46mm super starts out with like Ex100 & 30 deg blow down or something like that. I machined it down to 102 or 103. Aftermarket cylinders are a little lower ending up around 103-105 only cutting the base. With the gasket installed I got 110* on the exhaust, 125* for the upper transfers and 69* for the intake.
After I ground on it.
Ex: 108*
Tr: 127*
In:75*
