026 Tank Vent

Are the older tall Stihl tank vents serviceable? Or do you have to buy the whole unit?
Any alternatives to using other tank vents?

If you're talking about #25 in the attached picture, it doesn't have any moving parts and rarely fails.

There's a red rubber one-way check valve that goes in the tank (#22 in the diagram) that works in conjunction with #25 and that
part fails often. They're available on eBay as Holley carburetor check valves for fairly cheap.

I've also had good luck with a short #6 machine screw and a 1.5" length of fuel hose that fits snug.
