I mean there wasn’t room to slide it apart and glue it properly. It was repaired as you described, but with epoxy instead of silicone.

No need to slide the pipe apart. Just clean what you can see and wipe silicone around it.

My brother used some kind of plastic epoxy on it. There wasn’t enough room to slide the pipe apart.
