Make sure the exhaust screws aren't too long - that can cause a leak.

It's okay, let it cool down first, you want it to shrink back up after being expanded anyway.

Use the hot mats out of the kitchen to handle the muffler and you should be good to go!! :D Edit: Yeah, I didn't think that through, no...

Well messing with a hot muffler could be fun but I guess I can give it a go.

Just give it a good wipe down with some cleaner and you should be good to go.
