Was the Echo CS-7310P a fad or is anyone running them?

The recent ice storm we had really destroyed the woodland on our place and on my parent's farm. A large hickory tree at the edge of their back yard fell across the yard, barely missing the house. I salvaged what logs I could, and hauled the rest home for firewood. I used my relatively new Echo...

Smaller Engine than OEM on Wood Splitter?

Thanks, everyone, I appreciate the information. I've found a nice Dirty Hands splitter for a good price, so I'm going to pass on the one in the original post. I would have prefered the wedge plate to be clamped to the beam like the one above, rather than in a trough like the Dirty Hands (and...

Firewood thread!!! Let's see what you got!!!!

Good choice! That's an ugly one, even with help. Best to live to cut another day.

Smaller Engine than OEM on Wood Splitter?

Knotty, gnarled oak is the worst I have to deal with. No eucalyptus here. I’ve heard it’s a real bear!

Smaller Engine than OEM on Wood Splitter?

Unless it’s slower, too. Just depends on what size splitter you need and how much time you have, I guess. 😉 Thank you for chipping in, I appreciate your advice.

Smaller Engine than OEM on Wood Splitter?

Hello folks, I'm looking for a decent used wood splitter and the search is frustrating locally. I'm going to look at one later this week that is in my price range but an hours' drive away. Right now I have only photos to go by since there are no labels/decals left on it, except for the engine...

What era are these Mac cans?

I remember my grandfather using those mix cans in his McCullough saw - that photo brought back memories! He was a worker, for sure. As Mark said, late 70s or very early 80s fits the time frame I remember, but not sure how long after that they could have remained in use.

I’m so sorry. Pets really are a part of the family.

Bless her heart! I pray for dogs at least as hard as I pray for most people. ;) I wish her a full and speedy recovery.

    Generator breaker issue?

As you've seen, a 30 amp breaker shouldn't be designed to trip at 13 amps; the trip amps should be somewhat higher than the baseline rating. They've given you the wrong breaker.

    Efco grinders??

Nice setup. I like that lazy susan idea, and also the bar/flat stock/long whatever-it-is storage behind the cabinet.

Was the Echo CS-7310P a fad or is anyone running them?

That's very generous, thank you very much! I've not had any problems with any of my Echo equipment that would be warranty issues - the few problems I've had were self-induced - but it's really nice to know there is support available if needed. Thanks again!

So what did you do today?

Tangles like that can be tough to read. I always take a few minutes to look them over and try to figure out all the different forces involved before I make the first cut, but even then I still guess wrong sometimes. Glad you're okay!
