I’m not sure they would work as the limiters are actually under the adjustment screws.
I do like running the saw...just feels good for some reason. I have a breathed on cs620 that is faster 20” and under, but for some reason I’m picking up the 7310 more. I guess maybe because it’s new
Ok thanks for the replies. I defeated the limiters....mostly!
I ordered the echo tool, but after the ice/snow storm we had I had to try Andy’s needle nose method. I think where I broke the H needle off had it jammed. So the the next option was to cut about 1/2” off the carb block to get to the...
I picked up the new Echo and have been putting some fuel through it. So far I like it and it’s running pretty decent stock but a tad lean in this cold weather. Problem is I’m against the H and L limiters and can’t figure out how to get them out. They aren’t the simple plastic caps, but some...
Ha. Actually I think I do have one of those somewhere! I guess I was thinking about a leakdown tester.
I'll have to do some research on how to mock it up. I guess plug the intake and exhaust is a start.
So is the impulse line a static air source?
Unfortunately I do not have a vac/pressure tester. Would a shop/dealer be able to check?
Is the impulse line on top of the carb?
I didn't have the problem before.
I used Ducati bond which is Three Bond 1207B. Also cleaned the cases and jug well with brake clean.
I checked the hoses, but could be something I can't see.
Alright...
I had to order the carb kit, so it will be a few more days before I can try that.
I did get it out and attempted tuning it better. I got it closer, but it still goes lean after several seconds at idle.
I've chased the L all over the place with the idle screw.
A picture is worth a...
Yes the tabs are pulled.
The H side is a little rich, but I didn't want to mess with it until I can get it in some wood.
The mods definitely threw the tune off. I believe the L side is out 2.25 turns now. Is that about right?
I'll throw the other kit at it and see what happens.
Thanks.
I fattened the L up a 1/4 turn and it seemed to help. Any more and it would drown it's self out.
It will run much longer now, but gets in this barely running, loping kind of idle.
I plan on picking up a HDA-24 pump diaphragm tomorrow as Tree Monkey suggested and give that a try...
