Mark, I'm not sure if you ever figured this out, 86464 is a SP80 clutch assembly. https://www.leonschainsawpartsandrepair.com/uploads/3/9/7/9/39792537/mcculloch_sp_80_chainsaw_ipl_88118__aug._1972_.pdf

My Mac 15 has the tillotson HC carb. I was kinda pissed when it first showed up from ebay as I thought somebody buggered it together. After a little inspection I realized it came that way, a bit of digging online confirmed that. Seeing the carb without the cover really threw me.

Do you have pictures of the carb? Given the age it's probably a brown or early tillotson. Identify what it is, then find some homelite diagrams from the same era. Most of the parts(gaskets/diaphragm) will probably interchange.

I thought you guys would like this. It was posted on a logging group on facebook. 97yrs. old Byron Dowdy >> @ 88 yrs. old ... fell this tree that had 88 growth rings — in...

JJ, with modern reverse engineering and manufacturing methods, blocks and cranks won't be too bad. There is a guy making all new west bend 820 engines already. Original tooling is not needed. Along those notes, horstman made their own blocks and cranks back in the day, I don't think that was...

More potential repo parts are kart blocks and cranks. There is a guy on the facebook groups working on 101 and 91/92/93 blocks and cranks, he's already making some mufflers and intake manifolds.

Bryce and LRB also have repo large frame air filters up. I assume 125 filters will be showing up soon as well.

I have seen people in the past report that some chips seem to advance the timing so much they have to remove the flywheel key and rotate the flywheel to dial in the timing and get it to run.

I think this is photoshopped. I saw all the dust on those fishing poles in your basement.

According to my literature, all the countervibe based cutoff saws were 5200/5400/8500 based. The smaller CC models were based on the old 245/306 chassis.

    Pop off pressure tool help

Cool! I figured it was missing something, there was goo in the spring, but not enough to account for dissolved duckbill. Now I just need to find the duckbill and umbrella valve. I have a few hundred duckbills that if memory serves me correct are close to that size. The umbrella valve will be...

Thanks Shaun, I laid it out in the order it came apart. Granted it could have been put together wrong before I received it. The brass "washer" has a one way umbrella valve, so the orientation of the components in that end do make sense to me. Right now it's set to allow air passed the valve into...

    Pop off pressure tool help

Hey Guys, I'm trying to revive this old dealership tool I picked up from ebay that was DOA. I know I can get a chicom, but I like saving merican things. I can't get it to build pressure. It will develop pressure if I cover to the two intake holes on the plunger before I depress it. I replaced...
