The 272xp cylinder on a 268xp crankcase is a fine example of a bigbore on the same case capacity/volume. They made real good power compared to the gains from the 372xp/372xpw. Cylinder design is the key factor?
Honda eu6500is is what I've been using for the past 15 years. Has run for days on end with no major problems during power outages. I think it has over 3000 hours on it. Think the new model (7000) is fuel injection now?
There is a special fork tool for installing the mounts but I don't believe the rubber mount holds the pin in place? It's been a while since I have had that chassis apart though.
I installed a #031 silicone o ring in the bottom of the filter on my 562xp. It seems to help with the fines. But I've only run a few tanks through it .
The oem 372xp oe edition cylinder kits are getting expensive also. Superceded part numbers also,not sure if they are still Mahle? Old 50mm kits were 503626473 and 503939372.any one tried the new Superceded numbers? Don't know the new numbers of the top of my head.
Broke the shaft off mine last year right at the hole. Parts were NLA.took a month to locate a new rotor. ordered an extra rotor to have for a spare.hate having equipment down.
