I have a variety of machines: 025 saw, stock. 026 pro, stock. 036 pro, modded. 462c, modded. 2 blowers. 1 string trimmer. I have run a wide varietry of fuel from 87 pump gas to av gas.

Disclaimer: I am a true Stihl fan, all my ope equipment is stihl. Why is a stihl so hard to start compared to other brands? It's embarrassing.

Thanks for the reply. I'm not arguing with you, but I expected considerably more. Our local saw dealers sharpen "homeowner" chains for about $10/pop. Here's a pic of a cutter for comparison beside a chain that I run on my 462. I'm pretty sure the bar on the landing saw is 5 ft. long.

What's the going rate for sharpening a chain for a landing saw? Ballpark........... The chains I am seeing have 96 drivers. Thanks

Central Pa.. If you were to choose a native tree to cut for stacking firewood on, what species would be your choice for longevity and rot resistance?

Please try to took at this from a Toolmakers' point-of-view. I bought a file that is intended for square filing. Looking at the edges, there are two bevels that look like they add up to 90 deg.. Why can't is simply use a "square" file? A 1/4" or 5/16" square file would work perfectly. (maybe...

Hopefully looking to trade: Stihl 28" bar, 91 DL. Comes with one brand new chain, and 2 worn-out chains. I bought it new, and it has worn out 2 chains, that's all. Bar is in very good condition and has normal wear for just wearing out 2 chains. I would like to trade it for a very good, or new...
