Probably not super relevant for OPE usage, but a whole bunch of specialty European tool brands have developed their new tools to work with Metabo style batteries. It is called the Cordless Alliance System. 32 brands at present. I found out about it when we bought a Gesipa cordless riveter at...

    Castrol 2T

I use this stuff (since reading some of @rogue60 posts about the castrol mineral oil). Far cheaper than oil from a mower shop. Haven't had any issues so far. https://www.supercheapauto.com.au/p/castrol-castrol-activ-2t-motorcycle-oil-4-litre/4447.html

    Oregon 620 grinder is wedged

I have noticed on mine that the front rail sits about 0.7mm lower than the rear/clamping rail, which made the chain sit crooked when aligning and when clamping, so i had to shim it up a bit to sit level while clamped.

    So what's your "real" job?

Projects Coordinator/admin at a Height Safety company. Little bit of fabrication (aluminium) and installation on occasion; ladders, platforms, stairs, anchors handrails etc. Still learning the ropes, first job and only been there 18 months.

Chainsaw grinder questions, tips, tricks, and pics!!!!

Most of the dust gets blown to the back, mainly because of the direction of the air flow down the tube

Chainsaw grinder questions, tips, tricks, and pics!!!!

End of tubing is crimped shut, with a cople of small holes, directed at the intserection of the wheel and the tooth edge, i do have to bend it more as the wheel wears, it does blow the dust away also, probably about 30 psi.

Probably been done before, but i hooked up a compressed air line to some 1/4 copper tube on my tecomec super jolly, teeth are cool to the touch even after fixing a rocked chain. Makes it almost idiot proof.
