    Wood handle axe recommendation

I was looking at a few of their options last night. They produce the Stihl axes as well

    Wood handle axe recommendation

I’ve considered filling the x27 with some foam. Not sure it would do anything

    Wood handle axe recommendation

I have been using my fiskars x27 and isocore for several years now. I have a wandering eye Is a wooden handle splitting axe going to be more forgiving on my elbows? What brands offer a head similar to the x27 in both shape and weight? It has blasted through almost everything I have thrown at...

Load of pine, going back for some black cherry soon. Enough pine there to build a cabin but I don’t have the equipment to make planks

What oil is best? and what ratio?

I like EVO in my dressings. Red armour in my power equipment. Sometimes I get wild the pump and don’t let it touch 2 full gallons for the somewhere between 40-1 and 50-1 mystery mix. I think the spontaneity is what keeps me and my saws so tight after all these years.

    Raker shape

Looking at different chains and one thing I have never learned much about is the raker profile. These two Dukes models have very different profiles. What affect does the shape have on cutting?

    Duke's saw chain

Anyone got any long term run time on the blue label? Thinking about another 3 pack of 20”. No issues with the orange. Duke says there is some changes in the geometry but the metal is the same.

    HUSQVARNA HUSQVARNA THREAD

What’s the shortlist of easiest older husky’s to work on. I am looking for my next project and have never used a Husqvarna or worked on one. Most of what pops up around me are Lowe’s ranchers.

    Diagnosing tooth shape

I spent some time cleaning up my previous sharpening chain this weekend. I took my time and got my body in a different angle to better see the angle. I also put my hand underneath the golf ball which helped prevent the tilting issue I was having. All in all I was happy with the results Thanks...

Bunch of random pics of cutters

Dukes 3/8 Orange label. Cleaned up with 1/4 file then a few strokes of a Pferd 2n1 I really like the 1/4 file for a few strokes to clean up the shape

Carpenter ants. I don’t like em. Cost me several pretty rounds in my last load. Whole dang colony hidden in one. Startled the dickens out of me when I cracked it open

    HELP! 28" Chain Dilemma

Chain changing tension as it rotates

So it’s down to, Oregon versa lightweight bar or the tensioner. The 28” added too many variables, so I’m wondering if I add the OEM 325 sprocket back and it’s gone. That lays it on Oregon bar alone?
