    Jonsered 2055 Oil seal size?

Where would someone buy seals by size? Have a super clean chassis and new OEM 2051 top end. This dang seal is holding up the project.

HELP! 1991 Model Husqvarna 55 NOS Cylinder & Piston

That cylinder looks like it should work fine. Bottom end parts you have ought to work OK. And now that it's apart sounds like they will be going in the saw. New AM seals are often a safer bet than NOS seals that have been sitting around for God knows how long. (Especially if stored in small...

    Resistor vs. Non-Resistor Plugs

Should use resistor plugs on all saws with speed limited coils. (the blue ones). Also the gray coil on the 576AT. And of course all the new AT saws, as Bjorn said above.

HELP! 1991 Model Husqvarna 55 NOS Cylinder & Piston

Whole bunch of options for these saws. But 46mm non deco kit is long gone. It was replaced with the deco kit when the 55 was morphed into the 55 Rancher. No other difference other than limiters on the carb at some point. In addition to the rare 45mm closed port, and the 44mm 51 kits, there are 2...

How important are parts availability for a home owner?

It's worth noting that most of the defunct saw brands only left the market within the last 20 years. Well within the lifespan of forums such as this one. Many members skipped the big 2, and embraced other brands such as Dolmar, Solo, Olympyk, and Jonsered. It gave the hobby some needed variety...

And as I write this, I'm in the local pub, sitting next to a guy whose Dad was a Jonsered dealer 25 years before I was. We are both leaning towards 520 on that saw. And we both agree it's been in the family this long, ya gotta keep running her.

Not sure on the saw, could be a 520. Starter is different than on a 450/455. Does have the lower AF cover. No point in worrying about parts until they are actually needed. Many of these old saws will run for years and years, without the need for specific parts. Junking or replacing them because...

He paid $500. $300 for the saw, and $200 for the decals. 😀

The dark side of the clone world is the opening it gives to dishonest folks to deceive people. One such crook has surfaced locally in Kingston, NY. Jerk is on Facebook peddling some of these saws. Someone I know just picked up a 395 from him. The scam this dude is playing is that while he admits...
