Yes, that is how it appears to me. It has been two years since I began this project , wish I remembered how it came out. Almost sure it was on top though. Finished the saw yesterday and am happy with how well the tank is holding as well as grommet with seal all. First time I’ve completely filled...
No just a steady second and a half wait for a tear drop amount to come from the back. Thankfully saw sits with a degree back so doesn’t go down the manifold. I am just going to disconnect fuel line from tank after use if keeping gas in tank.
I had another question, fuel filter and placement...
I have placed four different carbs on . Three of them have all consistently behaved the same, including the new 090 carb just bought new. I cleaned out cap and replaced valve and believe it to be working.
Like woodslasher my saw needs a serious bite, had a taste but bar/chain not cutting straight so worked on it and changed carb to a 090. Rumbles 👍. Have questions should have asked a long time ago. Does the filter get placed under the tank liner in a 797 ?. Finishing a grommet set up for fuel and...
When removing 6-10 clutch I may have done just that or it was already cracked and just showed itself upon loosening. The metal was so brittle. Ran it today and cut for about ten minutes and all was well. I am leaning towards already cracked as the performance is everything I could want with the...
The pro Mac 55 I got was a dud, no idea how it even ran. Turned the 6-10 into a left hand start. Love having a chain break and a dog, switched out the carburetor The other smaller carburetor behaved so well, this one gets a little rich takes a few pulls to restart. But the fixed high screams...
I have a few items that I will never use and one of you may have need. Sp 125 standard rings ,thick rings standard 2.28, mystery handle and a cover from a 1-71.
That is good to know and see in practice. Stuffed pipe with steel wool and epoxy for rigidity but still left me feeling uneasy if it buckled in wood. Thanks Mark.
It does, my set with the Jerry rigged lower corner has been fine as the rest of the saw came together. But now that it’s ready for wood don’t want it to come undone in my hand.
Gave up on the hl 63F , couldn’t stop the leaks. Using a 87DT no choke. Saw working as it should. Would 1-86 wrap fit the 797, if we get a break and not get evacuated I would like to get into wood when state of emergency is over. Big Mac stated 1-71 etc..but having a hard time finding a good 7...
The 6-10 has low compression, the 55 loads up and floods and the 797 leaks at the block to gas tank. Getting busy and will have to put up out of the way and get back to them another day. Beautiful day for picture.
placed a short video on media of my s797 behaving almost proper. So pleased. I will dial it in when new carb kit arrives, still have a small leak. The flat back carb that was originally on it when I got saw has a new carb kit but needle seat must have dissolved as it was there last fall...
Question on the amount of gas this carburetor is transferring, seems excessive. Quickly floods itself out. When pulled over slow there is a large volume of gas coming out of muffler. We are under a fire ban so no turning over but when last night before ban that’s when I got the leaks out and it...
