Well I messed up.... I attempted to repair the botched spark plug threads on the Super 250. Somehow I managed to to tap it way crooked!!! With the plug tightened down I could still get a pocket screwdriver under the gasket on one side [emoji2959] Not all hope is lost, I managed to remove the...

Mark is setting me up with the needed gaskets as well as the stuffer plate and rings. Thanks for all the advice. I will need to look into some of those thicker gasket materials. I have 1/8 cork, 1/8 Buna N rubber and a couple thicknesses of Karropak on hand, I would like to get some of that...

I've ordered 10 series Mac gaskets from gotfishon but he doesn't have anything listed for the large frame saws. I have found the necessary gaskets on ebay by part number. Just exploring other (less expensive) options first. Sent from my SM-G981U using Tapatalk

This afternoons project. I tore the Super 250 down completely. Going to go through it and rering and re seal it. I managed to break the crank stuffer trying to get it off, bummer. I will have to see if one of my parts saws has one here that will interchange. I asked before, but does anyone...

Mark, the one I got is the square faced one for PM700, 7-10, etc. M&D had it listed a s a superceded part number with no photo. Ebay seller only had one photo that didn't show the face. My fault, I did not give it due diligence. Sent from my SM-G981U using Tapatalk

Well I am still on the hunt for the Proper adjustment needle boot for the SP81 "scrap heap" I paid like $16 for one off Ebay that was supposed to be a superceded part number only to get it and find it is wrong. I need PN 69629. I have paypal ready if anyone can help me out. Sent from my...

Does anyone know a good source for gaskets for these? Or know the thicknesses so I can make appropriate ones? I would kinda rather just buy them honestly lol. Sent from my SM-G981U using Tapatalk

I think I am going to end up pulling this down totally anyway and revealing it and possibly put rings in it. Sent from my SM-G981U using Tapatalk

So a little update on the Super 250. I got about an hour this evening to mess with it. It either has a giant air leak or my test equipment is faulty lol. I can pump about 5psi with my mighty vac if pump as fast as I can but it won't hold at all. I sprayed both crank seals, the intake gaskets the...

There is a guy onnthe Mac Facebook groups who had made his own for the big old 50s Era Macs. Not real pretty but supposedly work. Sent from my SM-G981U using Tapatalk

I haven't leak tested it, but it ran half decent with the flatback. I could cut with it but every now and then it would foul and I'd have to hit the choke a couple times and it would clear up and run fine for a while again. I may have to get my block off plates out and leak test it though.

This saw is frustrating me. I rebuilt a second Tilly this afternoon, this one is an HL63E. It is pretty much acting the same although I did get this one to actually run, it is starving for fuel. It will only run on choke even with the needles 3 turns out. If I didn't know better I would think...

Yes, I checked and double checked. Even went so far as to spray carb clean through both gaskets, the adapter, and into the carb to make sure all impulse ports where clear. Sent from my SM-G981U using Tapatalk
