Your absolutely right!! Theres was some fine particals in crankcase. To me it looks like it got hot enough and maybe a chunk of carbon broke off and i have egan filter and bigger outlet in muffler so yes Never again grey sthl oil same mechinac place that i think didnt fix it right from getgo
I always used red armor but they didnt have it only grey used 4 gallons and that was the end of saw as soon as i get some extra cash ill get it fixed ported or maybe hybrid let someone play with it
Not sure i always mix the same did change to the grey sthil oil i think mechanic never put it back right he replaced half of crankcase one screw from crankcase fell out idk would of did it myself but didnt have time
Its not the saws fault. The crankcase broke at the spring thinking it was more the work of mechanic and being run to lean. Just wondering if something is cheaper spent 500 on jug and piston and really didnt want to spend another 350 right now. Cant cut trees in the rain. Bought a new 500i and...
Does anyone know if a differrent crankshaft can be used in the 500i? Hole in rod is a little wore out any suggestings the saw got hot i have new jug and piston and trying to keep the $ part down. Thank you
