60-80cc stock or ported and 20 inch bars my favorite combo 24 inch rarely, for occasional big stuff 90cc class ported and 36 or 42 inch bar

The makita is a dolmar 7910. It is hurt by emissions they had to run a restrictive muffler design. Internally though it is improved. Fix the muffler restriction issue and it will be a great runner. Dolmar when they updated to 7910 actually got a better piston design than the older dolmar 7900...

^That's what I mean. Makita as far as I know never sold any gas saws that they designed/developed that's why they bought the dolmar brand as dolmar had some nice gas powered models. The saw may say Makita on it but it's a Dolmar saw. Makita decided to go all in on electric but how about selling...

So sad to see Makita kill off the Dolmars. They could of sold the design and rights and someone else could have continued to make them. Such a waste.

My lightest saw besides a top handle Stihl 192tc is the 572 and its more saw and bar than I need sometimes so I eventually plan to add a 550 mark 2 with a 16 bar to my line up. A 462 sits right in between those 2 weight wise. Amazed how Stihl got a 70cc saw that light. Husky use to be lightest...

Excited and hopeful for the 592xp. Faces stiff competition from the ms661 and it has big shoes to fill if they drop the 395 which was to me more of a throwback to the big bar 100cc specialty saws. I will be sad to see the 395 go

Lots of red maple around here but very little sugar maple. Sugar maple more common in the mountains than the coast here in Va. Sugar Maple is also called hard maple and its easy to understand why. Was much more common tree up in NY than it is here. I dont have a single one growing on my property...
