check compression first, post up what they are, do they have fuel in them?? Drain the fuel if they do. fill with fuel and try and start... If they were running when put up at most you'll need to rebuild the carb just like any other small engine...
I would not recommend it. I would bet the average Joe could not tell the difference in them unless someone told them... Can't say anything bad about either...
physical size and ergonomics are a huge part. In residential tree work its hard to beat a 372xp with a 28 for use while climbing or in a bucket truck. I would never want a 390xp,661 or 500i with a 28" bar for how i work do to how big they are. it makes you have to bend you body in more awkward...
Yes someone broke the head off on the bolt. it was loose but I could not get it out. Could not weld to it because the broken piece was loose and could not get it grounded good. The plating was bad on the cylinder so I had to break it off. Not a fun job... It is off and new cylinder installed...
Just got a decent looking 2100 that I am trying to restore. Previous owner broke a Allen head flush in the cylinder bolt. The broken head is moving but will not come out with a magnet or pick. Any tricks to this? I have tried welding a bolt to the broken head so I could put a slide hammer on it...
autotune and mtronic have been around a very long time. nothing new... I guess I have been running them for 15 years and have not had an issue with either of them in more than a dozen saws running commercially. In my opinion the ergonomics of the 550xp are much better than the 261 but that is...
You can say the same for anything you hear in the states, the PNW trees vs trees in the east are completely different and alot of the things that are the gold standard out west don't apply to the east...
The 576 is kind of a Frankenstein, you have the 2 series, 3 series that all are similar to each other in construction. The 5 series excluding the 576. I believe it was the first husqvarna strato saw and The only saw that is similar is the 575.
That is because they can not sell them in developed countries... Regulations is what is driving electric. I don't think anyone wants electric, not even the manufacturers, but they can only sell and manufacturer what they legally can... Third world countries do not demand new models like the...
With how hard they are pushing battery saws I think we might be seeing the last generation of gas saws being developed. What is the oldest design for stihl and husqvarna? ms201 and the 550xp??? Thoughts?
