I clean my chains before grinding. Sometimes mineral spirits, sometimes Dawn Powerwash. I still get black funk on blue wheel, and teeth... -

Same here I got the 1/8" and the 3/16" ones from "Ericweakland" Pennsylvania Last weak. I have always hand filed so time will tell.

I've tried the 10 deg tilt a few times but never noticed any significant benefit.
