Can you guys tell me what chip to get and the wiring.I am guessing one of the chip wire goes to the little wire come out of the coil? Where does the other wire go? to ground.Why did you put the red silicone on the plate? And the last question is where to get the chip? I like that set up a lot.

I replaced the ground wire but did not hook it up to the switch. This saw is rebuilt clean. I will check that stuff tomorrow . Thank you for the reply

Hi I got a 285CD that has lost spark..I look at the kill switch wire and I was in very bad shape. I knew that had to be the problem.Got the flywheel off and very carefully replaced the wire. Can you tap it in metric. Maybe you could use the hole as it is.
