Anyone try the sugihara brand chainsaw chain yet? I have seen it pop up on a few websites. Reportedly made in Japan. Not yet on the Hev inc/sugihara site. I ordered a couple loops to try but just curious if anyone has put any time on it yet. Exciting to see more chain coming to market, between...
I have actually seen an increase in availability and a decrease in prices locally in the Northeast compared to 1 or 2 years ago. Also interesting and exciting finds...like clean 372xp's. Things were way way cheaper and deals were more abundant 10 years ago compared to now but I think things have...
I have been having issues with oregon gator blades being bent symmetrically from the factory. Some of them rock as much as 1/4" side to side. I call oregon and they send me more but its getting annoying that multiple batches over multiple years have been bent.
I should know better than to get involved in a fuel and oil thread but....
I don't think the canned fuels are worth it if you have access to ethanol free pump gas. Looking at pure-gas . org (website), it looks like there are plenty of stations with ethanol free pump gas.
In the absence of...
I had a great time. Thank you to the Cutting Edge and everyone who worked to put it together!! Great setting for a GTG and it was also neat as it seemed like every interest group on the forum was well represented. We were incredibly fortunate that the rain held off just as it did.
I believe it's a 30" bar...long story but I had them sent over from Japan before they were as easy to get in the united states and so they have some weird drive link requirements.
I believe he's still waiting on the non-heat. My plan was to get a G model all along, and I was planning on having...
Stopped in to Bob's today and picked one up!
It's one smoooooth saw. Put it to work in some hard maple...excited to get it broken in. Much more forgiving powerband than my 372 already.

I'm actually somewhat surprised how small the consumer segment was/is vs the husqvarna brand. You'd think that there would be some volume there with all the box stores but I suppose not.
I'm just going to post this graph from the bloomberg article here. I didn't mean to mislead anyone. Husqvarna itself did not lose money as a whole, nor is it in the crapper, the husqvarna brand is actually more profitable than it was last year. Instead it seems like its the consumer (non...
the husqvarna motorcycles are owned by KTM of Austria now.
I believe that Husqvarna Group is only Husqvarna/Gardena/consumer brand holdings and that the vacuums and sewing machines were spun off years ago into electrolux.
Apparently husqvarna's Q2 was particularly bad as a result of loses on consumer products. The news articles on the matter suggest that there will be a restructuring and/or exit of some of these consumer markets. Profit on Husqvarna/professional equipment is reportedly strong as are sales...
