    Husqvarna battery is stuck

Wow! Thanks so much, that is the type of info I was hoping for. Anything to not have to scrap it. I was looking at it and also an identical functional battery and wondering if I can superglue the failed latch arm. EDIT: Yippee, even the clips can be bought! Only $9 for two, that surprises me...

    Husqvarna battery is stuck

EDIT: Prior to posting this below, I tried one more time and I did get this battery out with another pop to the back of the battery while pressing down on the latches. (But they were stuck anyway.) Bad news is I see that the left latch is broken, the latch plastic is severed in two. I don't know...

    Husqvarna battery saw fix

You mention the pro use of that speed cut nano. Are they using the 540 battery saw or other battery saw or gas saw? TIA.

    Husqvarna battery saw fix

Thanks again for your reply. You have same 540iXP as me but you use 10" or 12" bar? As I said in the OP, I bought a 16" and that was because after inquiring about the saw being strong enough for 16" prior to purchasing, was assured that it is. Heck, maybe for pine but it sure seems to me that it...

    Husqvarna battery saw fix

Thanks for replying, you say 'overload protection kicking in,' is there anything I could do about that? What did you mean by your direct drive statement? Are you referring to Husqvarna coming out with battery saws with a clutch? Do/did you not notice what I described when using your saw? If...

    Husqvarna battery saw fix

Well, I am back after a long hiatus! I watched it, thanks for the video. Not sure what I learned! But what the saw does when he cuts the cookies in the locust, that is what my problem is. It just stops like it's binding up. He seems to note that this happens if he dogs into the cut. I guess he...

HELP: Stihl chain adjustment screw access is blocked

Yes, that is exactly what I see but I couldn't turn it. Only way I could see to do that is hammer a screwdriver trying to push it into turning slightly. It's super snug.

HELP: Stihl chain adjustment screw access is blocked

I'm so thick I can't follow some of what one of the gentlemen suggest but your suggestion, I can follow that, lol. I just might do that, seems like an easy solution! I do have a dremel, maybe I have a disc or head that will cut metal. There isn't much that's in the way. It seems weird that this...

HELP: Stihl chain adjustment screw access is blocked

This is an ms200 (rear handle) and I can't freely turn the chain tension adjustment screw because there is a steel plate thingamajig turned into the hole where you insert the screwdriver. I don't recall having the problem in the past but I have not run it for maybe a year other than cranking it...

    572 or 462

I was going to vote for 462 and that's what you bought, so, there! If it's 1.5 lbs lighter, that was my reasoning. Especially at my age, that matters. Hope it works well for ya, I got one, it's strong.

the little saw in the corner....

Yes, it was quite a story and I, too, hope he's ok. Vroom, vroom. Hold whatchya got.

Use lithium batteries at 20% to 80% capacity

FWIW, if any, I came across this... have no idea if it's valid but it is apropos this discussion and directly answers (his opinion) a question I posted in this thread about why doesn't the manufacturer design the battery to not go below 20% and not above 80%... = Why do people say it’s bad to...

Chainsaw to the rescue for bush trimming

I have an ms362 that has a 20" carbide bar/chain on it. That actually needs sharpening. Wonder if that would be a good choice. These bushes do not have thorns, thankfully. But, possibly some wasp nests!

Chainsaw to the rescue for bush trimming

Not a joke, I'm serious! Would a chainsaw be a decent tool for cutting Azalea flowering bushes? I have some in front of my main, wide front window at my house and over the decades, they have crept up with my hedge trimming such that they are just too tall, they are as tall as me. Which means...
