I use my pellet smoker or my gas grill for everything, I like the idea of charcoal but it just seems everything is full of chemicals. I guess the smoker pellets could be as well :(
Mine isn’t that bad of a noise but its really not that quite, not sure if that’s a marketing thing but you could probably use ear pro with it if you were smarter than me…
I use my battery powered husky blower for the decks and around the house. I get the backpack blower out when I need to do the driveway and road down to the barn.
My local shops have saws as well but it’s a small area so I’d say it’s NOS. The ace hardware has one 2511t on the shelve for the last couple years. I should buy it now that we are talking about this haha.
I have been rebuilding/working on saws but have not tried to port one yet. Figure I will let the pros do what they do and keep the business going. I just do not have the time to do that much work on a saw. Or maybe just do not want to haha.
I have a 50amp that we installed that runs everything minus the oven and the heat pump, water heater is usd only when needed. Unfortunately we are all electric on this property 😫
I have one as well but it will not run the whole house so I bought one if these off Amazon. I have a bunch of propane tanks so i run that instead of gasoline. Runs clean and has good power...
I have heard madrone burns good but do not have any. You are right about the oak ashes, I am constantly cleaning the stove out haha. Chickens like the ashes to dust bath in so it works out.
