Best/Most Desirable saws of each Decade?

Thank you very much. If you find yourself in need of 2100 parts later on, I might be able to help. Also some 125 parts, although I'm down to mostly the smalls for them.

Best/Most Desirable saws of each Decade?

Where you're located parts are probably somewhat available. I've bought two complete 2100 Huskys in the last two years and two, more or less complete, basket cases as well. I do have some parts still available. 2100 Homelites are a different matter, parts for them are very scarce.

Best/Most Desirable saws of each Decade?

Jonsered and Comet both made diesel saws. None have come my way yet, but several collectors on this forum own one or more.

And sometimes just because they're BiG AND RARE. Like a 10 cube 090.

Best/Most Desirable saws of each Decade?

A six or eight foot bar paired with a powerhead that can actually pull it seems desirable to me

Best/Most Desirable saws of each Decade?

Twins and rotary saws are usually considered desirable

Best/Most Desirable saws of each Decade?

Some saws are desired just because they're rare, and in many cases they are rare because they resonated with very few buyers.I think that the Stick Shift 770 and the convertible Homelites with the planetary gear drive are two such examples.

Best/Most Desirable saws of each Decade?

Some saws from past decades stand out because they fit their market niche so well. As a result, many of these models are desirable to collectors today. The SP 125 McCulloch and the 090 Stihl are certainly examples of this

    SELLING Homelite Super EZ

I actually have a fair amount of respect for the Super EZ. It was well built, very light for the era, and it was equipped with full sized 3/8 pitch chain, which it pulled amazingly well given it's size.

Well, at least he didn't go out on some logging show and chain himself to a tree.

    SELLING Homelite Super EZ

The decomp is a little odd on a saw that size, but maybe even stranger, it was offered with a full wrap handle.

Good advice! You'll no doubt establish a strong bond with your readers.

    Old Homelite project 🤔

Those were tough, durable little saws and, in my experience, usually don't need much more than fuel lines, a carb kit, and possibly a point filing to breathe life back into them. That one looks pretty nice too. Used parts should be easy if you need them, Homelite made a b'jillion of those and...

    blackbruin

I've done a lot of business with him and he's always come through. At certain times of the year, it's hard to reach him. He gets wrapped up in his other activities and doesn't check in. I don't think he'll burn you though.

    HOMELITE Homelite Thread

I don't think Sears had a very long relationship with Homelite, so there probably aren't many. I did see a Homelite 450 with a Craftsman badge on it recently.
