Mulberry is pretty dense. Usually listed high in btu charts Has to dry out a while though.

Mulberry is my vote It is a nice smoking wood more mellow than Hickory. Mulberry can be scraggly like Ash or straight like pictured.

Good old mulberry. Burns ok when cured a year and does spark a bit like hedge. Splits easy.
