I did a variation of what Kevin has suggested with the YouTube video. Used a 1/16th carbide end mill in a dremel and removed the material in the cap until I could screw the needle all the way in and out. Took the needles out and the caps slide right off. I'm sure drilling works just as well

I'm with at @Woodslasher, although my line up is not all huskies, I have a top handle with a 14in, a 50cc with an 18, a 60cc with a 24, and a 70cc with a 28 and a 32, or I can swap it for the 24 if I feel like it. If I HAD to give up one of my rear handles it would be the 60cc, however it holds...

Yes it is! He was telling me that he had a 61 and husky had a recall on it for the chain brake. His was 1 or 2 years that they could retro-fit the parts to in order to fix the issue so they gave him credit toward any saw he wanted and the 365 was even money. I think it's the first or second...

Finally got my father-in-law's 365 cleaned up and put back together over the weekend. Other than a few minor things and a TON of bar oil and chips packed in to every crevice, it really is a low hours saw, and I feel like it shows with a little elbow grease.

So I've got my father-in-law's 365 on the bench, tore it completely down to case halves, first saw I've ever split. Just curious what everyone's preferred method to lubricate the bottom end and the p/c is before firing up the saw for the first time is? Any ideas are greatly appreciated

Couldn't agree more. The first saw I ever bought came with oregon chain so I bought two oregon chains with it as well. Because that's what came with it. For s**** and giggles I decided after about 6 months to try some stihl chain. Could not believe how much better it held up and how much harder...

Came with a .325 and a green chain. Got rid of the green chain and picked up two yellows. Full chisel. Any benefits to converting to 3/8 over the .325? More bar options probably?

I've got to agree Al. With how impressively well it pulled the 18 I don't think it would have too much trouble with a 20. For me, a hobby cutter, a 20" bar will cut 85% of the work I do and if the 50cc take 1.287964 seconds longer a cut than my 60cc or 73cc with a 20, so be it. I'm not getting...
