I had a tree gang, we shared about a dozen saws, when you used a saw it was your job to file it, if the next user said it was not cutting properly, you got to file it again. Great way of learning to do it right.

I bought a cheapo welding helmet...best thing I ever bought. Does the job very well, I also use pub gas CO2, built trailers, climbing irons etc, just great .. have faith in yourself.

Your saw has a spark, it fires, dont use easy start, check or blow out your fuel pick-up line and fuel filter.

Not being a smartass, but yep most of it looks just great, some bits of top plate not ground, but only little bits. also looks very roughly ground, was it done by machine?

Also 064's have a mild propensity to shearing woodruff key as they have some kick, if this has occured, your timing could be out a little. And their coils go goosed after a while. Don't know if this would give the symptoms which you are describing?

Lots of layers between air filter and cylinder on 064's make sure nothing is perished or a bit of sawdust inbetween any of the layers. Also impulse line may not shoe signs of holes but give it a blow to check for leaks.

Being sometimes a cheap ass, I used bottles of co2 from my mates pub for free...when welding steel etc. , also worked reasonably with stainless, but bought the tiny bottles of argon? for aluminium. But the pub shut now I bought a bottle for £70 quid, fill ups about £25 a pop.
