They are definitely high use logging saws. I got them out of a storage unit that was rented to a logger. I’ll try to get some pics, but, other than being faded, they don’t look terrible.

I’ve got a 661 and a 660 both labeled magnum. One is missing a clutch, the other floods fuel out the muffler when trying to start. Local saw shop said the crank bearings were also bad in both and quoted $700 each to repair. I have someone interested in them for parts saws, but, have no idea...

Got some 2x10x20s cut for a guy building a pole barn. I really hate sawing 20’ boards but the footage sure does add up fast!

Glad you found her. Some helpful tips for the future, the best light I’ve ever found for looking for blood is a Coleman lantern, something about the glow makes blood stand out. Another tip is put some hydrogen peroxide in a spray bottle, if you think it might be blood, spray some on it and see...

I don’t, I’m using 1-1/4” bands. Once a couple teeth get broken off or they break, I trash them.

I pulled my mill out of its barn and gave it a bath then cleaned everything up and got it all put back in and leveled and ready to get back to work. It’s nice having a shiny clean mill again!

I don’t take any pictures, but, the family just killed off 2 sides of baby back ribs. They came out great!

I’m new here, not sure what all the fuss is about, but, I heard there were buttered buns, so, thought I’d check it out.

I cleaned up around my mill, loaded a couple bundles of ties on my trailer for delivery tomorrow, bucked a few logs down to 12’ and sawed 3 of them in 1x6s for an order. Gotta get another 75 sawed hopefully this week sometime.

I bought the woodland mills RS 30 and their setter. I’m not super happy with the setter, but, the sharpener is doing the job. I’ve been getting about 6-8 sharpenings before breakage. I’ve been trying to set every 3rd sharpening so far, seems to be working ok for me.

I did buy a sharpener this year. Shipping costs were killing me on resharps, so, I bought a cheap sharpener. It’s definitely paid for itself already!

I was told by a horse guy that it was a mule shoe. I guess they have smaller feet 🤷🏻‍♂️

This is the largest iron deposit I’ve found so far. It was nearly in the middle of a 20” walnut.

Nice white oak on the mill this evening.
