I was cleaning up in front of a shop so I could get into it with a skid loader to start cleaning it out. Everything above the red screwdriver except the big sockets on the left is Snap On. The pile with the green screwdrivers is Mac and Matco. Just about everything is rusted pretty bad.
Managed to shoehorn this into the junk pile in preparation of the apocalypse coming tomorrow. I have a ton of body panels I hope don’t get destroyed if it hails tomorrow.
Spent two hours putting a master cylinder in my wife’s car just to realize there’s an o ring on the back of the master cylinder I didn’t see. Now I get to do it again. It’s 100% together but I could hear it pulling vacuum when I was driving to the neighbors to bleed the brakes.
Snap on got me again. Thlx72 converted to 3/8. There isn’t a locking 3/8 in 1/4 body for some reason and the new non locking version of this has the dirt magnet grip.
After a weekend trip to Horror Freight for some triple square and hex sockets and new tires for the wife’s car I said I’m done spending, need to start buying stuff for the house. She lost her brakes which I’m throwing a master cylinder at hoping it fixes it. Had to get a bi directional scanner...
The snap on guts are definitely better but the non locking flex sucks when you are stuck on rusty hardware. Try to shake it off and you just end up with rust bath. Theres a 120xp long 3/8 in the picture. I have the older version of that on my service truck and that handle flexes like crazy but...
I beat the crap out of a g1 long 3/8 flex and never had an issue. I got a g2 version of it and it’s fairly new but it’s been good. I have a shorter flex g1 that locks up but it never gets used and probably will break it. I have them in my junkyard bag so they get exhaust pipe cheaters and the...
After saying screw Matco after they had a bad run of ratchets and no parts to fix them I got some snap on dual 80 stuff and the locking flex head isn’t much better. I hated the non locking flex heads and ended up buying some Gearwrench stuff for locking flex heads but you are limited on longer...
My wife always says I never use stuff that I buy to fix things and they lay around the house. I had to prove her wrong today. I broke the guard on my saw November of 2021. I fixed it today. Pretty good turnaround in my book.
