One negative thing. I’m using a foam filter in the 400.1 and was using it before on the 462. The filter in the 400.1 definitely gets clogged with saw dust a lot earlier then in the 462 or the 241 (also with foam filter)

Update about the saw.
I finally got the chance to test the saw on thicker hardwood (oak and cherry). with the 28“ bar completely in the wood. With a light hand it cuts completely fine. But If I had to make a lot of cuts, I would use a larger saw.
I know an old thread, but I want to share some information.
I love the small saw for small felling and limbing jobs.
Since new i was using a 7 pin 3/8p setup. Lately I’ve changed that to 8pin 3/8p.
I use the saw with an 14 or 18 inch bar.
U can feel the loss of torque when u are using the 8 pin...
To make the filter fit, you have to modify the cover. And to improve airflow to the filter, I modified it further. You can only see these changes if you look very closely.
