Yes and over the decades a variety of thicknesses of bar's had caused rubbing I've seen guy's grind the clutch down To get them to clear.

Sounds right, mixing them doesn't work, they have to be all the same as I recall.

Early models had both an inside and outside steel bar pad, later models had just the inner one.

Brand new clutch cover had to add those brass washers to keep the nut from rubbing. Drum still rubs on the brake band. What gives...
