That is called 1/4" pitch chain I believe.

That usually requires a new flywheel. Make sure the magnetic didn't hit the coil on its way out. I've seen them knock the coil off the block. Erik.

J Noss, Most lawn mower engines have an aluminum flywheel, and rely on the weight of the blade for starting momentum. Your splitter engine will have a cast iron flywheel for starting momentum. If you take the blade and adapter off the mower you will find it hard to start and it will kick back...

That's a good idea, to try a swap from a echo weed eater type air cleaner with the choke in it. I have a box of them. Thank you !

Brad, thank you for the link. My trimmer is a Tanaka, and your link was for a Shindiawa trimmer. The air cleaner housing in the IPL doesn't look like mine. The Shindiawa housing doesn't look like it will twist to act like a choke. Let me know if i'm missing something. I appreciate your efforts...
