This is my idea of a 3 Saw plan: Stihl 024 with Exhaust and base gasket modification. Stihl 026 Ported by Doc and with my own intake modification. Stihl 044/46 Hybrid by Doc. And then there are the other saws, but these are my favorites

First saw was a used Stihl 024, then I got the "Stihl Bug" and went on to MS 280, 041 AV , MOFO 026 and latest 440/46 Hybrid :)

No, this is fitted with a std Stihl piston.

Maybe someone already guessed it, the newly finished 440 Hybrid built by Doc ended up with me here in Denmark. I have fitted it out with a 20" bar from GB, 3/8" RS chain from STIHL and a 8 pin drive. Have started to run some tanks through the saw to break it in. Very happy about this saw:)

Yes, it can be done . But I would prefer to test the alu elbow for some time before I say yes. And then there is the cost, the price of the elbow was 320$ :eek: , maybe to much ?

An update to the velocity stack installation on my Mofo 026. The 3D printed plastic elbow did not last for long......maybe it was the vibrations or the fuel, I do'nt know, the plastic cracked and it broke after a short time :( Back to the drawing board ! I have now have the same elbow cast...

drf256, may I ask a little more about carbs for the 026. I have 026 mofo with a 194 carb, but would like to play a little more with this saw. As seen in another post, I have modified the intake and run with a velocity stack and a Uni foam filter. I don't use the saw for work, only for cutting...
