I needed a heat gun the other day and found this gem. You can crank the heat to “6”. How could would it be if it went to “11”.

Do we have any birders here ?

I don’t hunt, but I’ve heard that if you hunt with lead, burying the gut pile of the kill will go a long way in keeping raptors healthy. Im told the acid in the digestive tract of raptors and scavengers is much higher than ours. If we eat game and consume lead, most of it will pass through...

    Milling questions from a newbie

I use Anchorseal to keep the wood from checking on the ends. Anecdotally, I think it works better than latex paint. For the best results, paint the end of the log as soon as you cut it.

We have a group of white-tail(ed) does that like to feed on acorns and bed down in our yard. We do see the occasional buck, but mostly does. I gotta say I feel disrespected every time I pull into the driveway and the don’t run.

Firewood thread!!! Let's see what you got!!!!

Early days on this blowdown. I gotta say, I had a blast running the 395. I have no business owning a saw that big, but it’s a blast when I get to use it.

    Ready for the winter

i think the wood I have to burn this winter was split in 2022. I might burn two cords a winter and enjoy cutting, splitting, and stacking, so I quickly stock up whenever theirs space to put it. I tell my kids it’s like money in the bank or meat in the freezer. I’m sure it’ll get old at some...

Like roses… Not really. I don’t go into town anymore but I’m told it smells like rotting fish or something equally unpleasant.

    Hand processing

It depends on the wood. Usually, I’ll split a round down completely. The exception is the hickory around here. I find it really tough to split when green and freshly cut. I’ll split or noodle a round in half and let it dry for a few months before I finish it.

    SOLD Husqvarna 359

I can’t believe this thing hasn’t sold. I counted nine chainsaws in my garage, probably eight more than I need, otherwise I’d have bought it when it first posted. GLWS.

    Tsumura Dealer on here?

I’m in sales and when people ask me about buying stuff, they are 100% not nagging me. Of all the calls I get at work, those are my favorite. I’m sure most business owners and sales folks would agree.
