Husqvarna no longer builds push mowers either. I’d probably opt for an ex mark commercial 30” push mower. I’ve had my Honda hrx over 10 years now. Hope it last many more.
thanks guys. Can't wait until Saturday to run a few tanks of fuel and break in the new saw. I started it up and let it idle about ten minutes this evening, ran out of daylight.
Received the Redmax GZ7100 today, factory bar is .058 24” . My question is, can I install a.050 gauge bar or will that require a rear sprocket change as well?
Have access to a Tsumura 050 3/8” 84dl 24” bar & would prefer to run husqvarna x cut .050 chain.
Ended up placing the order for the Redmax GZ7100 this evening. I think I’ll enjoy & appreciate this saw.
Should have plenty enough power for my wood’s cutting land clearing tasks.
Wouldn’t mind getting a light bar & some husqvarna flip up fuel caps.
Didn’t know that about the x torq. Am considering one other option though. Selling my Redmax gz5000 since I already have a 50Cc in the 550 and getting a Stihl ms 462. It’s just a few ounces heavier than the 400C and should handle a 25” bar better than the 400.
Thanks for the feedback. I'm sort of leaning towards the Redmax GZ7100, Further reading I learn it's really a Jonsered 2172. Something about this saw intrigues me, no M Tronic/Auto Tune, but I think it does have the X torq feature.
I have some other Redmax trimmers, and a pole saw that are...
Just got an itch for a different saw, all the husky’s are great. No issues, don’t need a saw at all , lol, just love buying/using tools. It’s silly I know, I don’t golf, hunt, ride Harleys, collect muscle cars etc. I guess tools are my weakness
A grand to spend on a new saw. Looking at 2 specifically
Stihl MS400C-M - I like all the specs just not sure about the magnesium piston and how it will hold up over time & rebuild costs when time comes.
Redmax GZ7100. From what I’ve read this is a husky 372xp in red. Would weigh just...
Thanks for the feedback.
Since watching YouTuber "Richard Flagg" I now mix my saw oil at 40.1, he really made me a believer, the gentleman really knows his stuff IMO.
I think I'll stick with 50.1 Mix for my Trimmers & Blowers.
Anyone run a leaner mix than 50.1 in your Trimmer?
I usually mix 50.1, but since Trimmers don't run at the high RPM range for long periods of time like a Chainsaw, would a 75.1 Mix (Full Synthetic oil, such as Amsoil Saber, or Maxima K2) be better at not leaving carbon deposits on the...
Mixed up a gallon of Tru Fuel 4 cycle With Amsoil Saber at 40:1. Figured for the break in I'd splurge a little on a cleaner fuel with no ethanol. LOL.. Like the rich blue color of Saber oil, it seems to be thick and have good cling properties.
I think I'll stick with 40:1 in all my...
Thank you very much guys.
Can’t wait to break in process and let it eat some wood. Plan on mixing up som Amsoil Saber 50:1. Got about 1/2 acre wooded mix of poplar, maple, and a couple buckeye to fell.
Again much appreciated for the help.
Sincerely Mike Bartley.
Just purchased a new 572XP.
Stupid question, but this pack was in the box, I’m wondering what this is used for? Just don’t want to start using and tear it up because I didn’t put together correctly.
I’ve mounted the bar/chain already, I was thinking maybe this part pertains to mounting...
Any chance of lower sales prices between now and end of. year, maybe a Black Friday deal???
Thinking of a new 572XP, got a new Husqvarna 24" light bar and chain, I figure a 572 would be a nice fit for that combo. Buy new Powerhead now or wait and see if any deals are available?
50,60,& 70cc. Does is make sense to own all 3 or would having the 550xp & 572 xp pretty much cover the tasks?
I own a 550 & 562, wanting a 572/24” setup for felling and bucking bigger logs, but can’t help but think if I get a 572 I might not hardly use the 562 much anymore. Might could...
