    Put bearings and crank in the freezer for a while and bake the case in the oven at 200 bearings should drop right in. What a few minute fro the bearings to warm up and drop crank in.     I put a 288 carb on 181 and IIRC I had to swap the throttle shaft because the crank cases are slightly different and the arm didn't fully engage. I put the 181 arm on a 288 tank.

    There were a couple of revisions of the cover from Husqvarna, the FT looks like the later model. Hang on to the little bits from the older one. They are hard to track down.

    We have Ivey X pre-contact lotion at work. If I'm working in right-of-way, or even road side its every where around here. Still need to wash after contact, I use 99% alcohol. We use it for cleaning fiber optic cable.

    It is a 6mm however it's a coarse tread inside to retain the use of the OEM screws the threads are similar to wood screws.

    Of the thread repair inserts for the coarse thread Husqvarna screws, like in handle bars and antivibes in the tanks. These are for plastic and magnesium. range in price $5-11 a piece plus shipping. I would like to have about 50 to keep on hand. Husqvarna parts says NLA. I'm down to my last one...
